Crimson Summer Exchange (CSE)

Crimson Summer Exchange (CSE) is one of the most highly regarded summer programs for high school students in China. Crimson Summer Exchange aims to provide unique educational opportunities for bright and motivated Chinese teenagers regardless of their socio-economic background.

Having attended a very competitive group interview, one of our S.4 students, Koan Tse Siu Wah, has successfully attained a place in the Crimson Summer Program this year. She will take part in an intensive two-week course in the Hong Kong University during the summer vacation. Her tutors are graduates and undergraduates of Harvard, Yale and Cambridge Universities. Koan can probably enjoy a new curriculum, which not only includes language arts component but also emphasizes the importance of mature leadership skills and the cultivation of intellectual curiosity. Koan is very delighted to have this unique opportunity to meet young people from different cultures and polish her English skills. Congratulations to Koan Tse.

Think Again Award

Two groups of S.4 students enthusiastically took part in a documentary making competition, titled THINK AGAIN AWARDS. The competition was organized by National Geographic Channel, Wiseman Education and Education and Manpower Bureau (EMB). Participants should work in groups and produce a documentary around the themes of environment and conservation, globalization and people and culture. Our students submitted two entries entitled ¡¥How can we change an ogre into a princess?¡¦ and ¡¥Should Hong Kong have a total ban on smoking?¡¦ They studied the impact of the nullah to the community of Wong Tai Sin and the response of the public towards the total ban. Both teams achieved merit awards in the competition. Mr. Chui, the Liberal Studies teacher, escorted the participating students to receive the awards at the prize presentation ceremony and shared their joy.

LKY winning Best Dancing Team First runner up in ELT Rap Show

The atmosphere reached its peak towards the end when the artist Ghost Style invited the audience to stand on their feet and move to the front. They chanted the chorus and waved the pom poms vigorously with the beat.
