English Week

English Week

22/05/2023

English Week is an exciting annual event at our school that celebrates the rich and wonderful world of English literature and language. This year's English Week was a great success, filled with activities that engaged our students and showcased their love of learning using Harry Potter themed activities and readings.

One of the highlights of the week was recess poem receding, where students were invited to bring a short Harry Potter poem to share with their peers during recess. It was heart-warming to see the enthusiasm and passion that our students had for poetry. Another great activity was our lunch time Harry Potter games, which included trivia quizzes, spell casting, word searches, and some arts and crafts. The students had an amazing time showing their knowledge of all things Hogwarts.

Clips and scripts reading was also a hit, with students coming together to read short extracts and scenes from the famous work of literature by J.K Rowling. It was fun to watch them get into character and bring these stories to life. Finally, we wrapped up the week with a magic show featuring a professional magician, ‘Scarlet’ and his amazing assistants from our LKY students. The students were astounded by the illusions and were left in awe at the power of storytelling and performance.

Overall, English Week was a fantastic success that brought our school community together and celebrated the wonder and joy of the English language. We look forward to next year's celebration and can't wait to see the students’ participation and enthusiasm.
